A factual description of the principal events which occurred between the birth of the Prophet Muhammad in 570 CE, blessings and peace be on him, and the year 1000 CE. The book also contains maps showing the extent of the Byzantine and Persian empires in 600 CE, the spread of Islam from 622 to 750 CE, the extent of the Muslim world in 1000 CE, and genealogical tables of the Umayyads (661 - 750 CE) and the Abassids (750 - 1258 CE).
