About
Shaykh Abdullah Siraj al-Din al-Husayni rahimahullah was born in Syria shortly before the fall of the Ottoman Empire, entering a scholarly environment shaped by the final generation of Ottoman-era traditional learning. He devoted himself to study under the great scholars of his time and became one of the most distinguished teachers of Islamic sciences in Syria through the mid to late 20th century, mentoring an entire generation of ulema. His mastery encompassed both the Qur'anic sciences and the science of hadith - a rare combination - and he was renowned for having memorized over 100,000 hadith narrations. Through his teaching and his written works, including his treatise on the virtues and etiquettes of Qur'anic recitation, he left an enduring legacy in the transmission of traditional Islamic knowledge.
