About
Ali Hammuda is a contemporary British author and teacher of Palestinian heritage, based in Wales. His path to Islamic scholarship was an unusual one: he first earned bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture and planning in the United Kingdom before traveling to Egypt, where he completed a BA in Shariʿa at al-Azhar University in Cairo. He serves as a visiting imam at the Al-Manar Centre in Cardiff and works as a researcher and lecturer in Britain.

Hammuda is known for writing that translates classical Islamic teaching into guidance for modern daily life, weaving together the Qurʾan, the Sunna, and the example of earlier scholars in an accessible, story-driven style. His book A Life with the Divine: 25 Names of Allah and Their Everyday Expressions takes the divine names as a lens for spiritual and practical living, while Married Ever After offers Qurʾanic and Prophetic principles alongside contemporary research for building a lasting marriage. The Four Imams retells the lives of Abu Hanifa, Malik, al-Shafiʿi, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal in an engaging, age-friendly manner, drawing lessons from each. He is also the author of shorter devotional works including The Daily Revivals, The Ten Lanterns, and The Friday Reminder, and is a frequent speaker and lecturer in Britain and beyond.
