Daria Volyanskaya

Daria Volyanskaya is a Russian-born graphic designer, illustrator, and Muslim children's book author who lives and works in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. She began her artistic path at age eighteen and has since built a career in graphic design and digital illustration, working with clients internationally. She embraced Islam in her late twenties, and this transformation became the animating purpose of her creative work as she turned her design skills toward producing books for young Muslim children. Her My Keys to Allah's Love series, published in 2022 by Bright Books, comprises three illustrated volumes -- Understanding My Religion, Perfecting My Character, and Perfecting My Manners -- that introduce children to the five pillars of Islam, gratitude, honesty, forgiveness, kindness, and other virtues through the adventures of two young Muslims named Aisha and Noor and their cat Ship-Ship. Each book weaves Qur'anic verses into its narrative in an age-appropriate way. She also authored My Prayer is My Treasure, an illustrated book for young children emphasizing the centrality of salah. Volyanskaya writes, designs, and illustrates her books herself, combining her professional design expertise with her personal faith to create a distinctive voice in Muslim children's literature.
