About
Hudda Ibrahim is an author, educator, and community advocate with a focus on the Somali Muslim experience in the United States. Her first book, From Somalia to Snow, explores how central Minnesota became a home for Somali immigrants, offering readers an account of that community's journey and settlement. Her second book, What Color is My Hijab?, is a children's picture book written to celebrate the joy and variety of hijab styles among Muslim girls and to introduce hijab to all readers. Ibrahim's work reflects her commitment to representation and to building bridges between Muslim communities and the broader public. She brings personal experience as a hijab-wearing Muslim woman to her writing for young readers.
