About
Mikhail Abdul-Latif is an author, poet, musician, and lifelong martial artist from Seattle, Washington. He holds national wrestling titles in both Canada and the United States and is a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Over many years, he traveled the world as a professional athlete while studying under various masters of martial arts and spiritual traditions across cultures. As an instructor and educator, he works to help students integrate the philosophical, practical, artistic, and spiritual dimensions of their pursuits - drawing on his belief that the outward discipline of martial arts cannot be separated from the inner struggle of the self. He is the author of The Tao of War, described as a compelling guide for the spiritual warrior that examines the philosophy undergirding the martial arts.
