About
Shaykh Muhammad al-Khudari Bak al-Bajuri (1872-1927), rahimahullah, was a distinguished Egyptian scholar of Shariah, Islamic literature, and Islamic history. Born in 1289 AH/1872 CE, he was raised in Zaytun, a suburb of Cairo, and completed his formal education at Madrasah Dar al-Ulum, where he distinguished himself as a scholar, researcher, orator, educator, and reformer. His career in Islamic scholarship and public service spanned several major institutions: he served as an Islamic judge in Khartoum, spent twelve years as an educator at the Islamic Judicial School in Cairo, held the position of Professor of Islamic History at the University of Egypt (now the University of Cairo), served as Deputy-Head of the Islamic Judicial School, and worked as an inspector for the Ministry of Education. His authored works include studies in Islamic history translated into English as 'The History of the Four Caliphs' and 'Lessons in Islamic History.' He passed away in 1927.
