About
Muhammad Husni Fayid was born in 1945 in Shiblinga in the Nile Delta, Egypt. He studied English at the University of 'Ayn Shams in Cairo, graduating in 1964. He subsequently made his home in Madina, where he dedicated himself to teaching Qur'an recitation in the Prophet's Mosque for over forty years, alongside teaching English. His work 'Glimpses: The Life of the Blessed Prophet' was originally composed in Arabic and later adapted into a free English version containing substantial new material designed specifically for English-speaking readers. His long residency in Madina and sustained service in the Prophet's Mosque place him among those scholars and educators who have devoted their lives to the city of the Prophet ﷺ.
