About
Muhammad Uwais Saror is a contemporary author best known for his "Hundred Stories" series, a set of accessible English-language collections that each gather roughly a hundred short accounts drawn from the life of a single figure from early Islam. Several titles focus on the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, including Abu Hurayra, Anas ibn Malik, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, Abdullah ibn Umar, and Abdullah ibn Abbas, the last of whom is remembered as among the most learned of the Companions in Qur'an interpretation. The series also extends to Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra and to Imam Abu Hanifa, the founder of the Hanafi school. Written in a plain, narrative style and published mainly by ZamZam Publishers, the books present each life as a sequence of brief, self-contained episodes, a format well suited to younger readers, families, and newcomers who wish to learn from the character and conduct of the early community. Little is recorded publicly about the author beyond this body of work, which has circulated widely through Islamic bookshops and remains valued for making the lives of the salaf approachable to an English-reading audience.
