Nafees Khan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Aligarh Muslim University in India and completed her teacher training in Canada. Her career in elementary public school education spans over thirty years, during which she developed a focused commitment to Islamic education for Muslim children. She has been a member of the Toronto Muslim community since 1967, giving her deep roots in one of North America's established Muslim communities. She played a foundational role in establishing two full-time Islamic schools in Toronto: the Islamic Foundation School and Al Falah School. She served as Principal at both institutions, shaping the educational environment for generations of Muslim students. Her authorship of 'Basic Duas for Children' reflects her long-standing dedication to nurturing the spiritual and religious formation of young Muslims.
