Rabia Terri Harris is an American Muslim essayist, editor, peace activist, public intellectual, chaplain, and translator. She holds a B.A. in Religion from Princeton University, an M.A. in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, and a Graduate Certificate in Islamic Chaplaincy from Hartford Seminary. In 1994 she founded the Muslim Peace Fellowship, the first organization specifically devoted to the theory and practice of authentically Islamic active nonviolence. She has served as Director of the Muslim Peace Fellowship and as Resident Elder at Dar Anwar al-Salam, the Muslim component of the Community of Living Traditions - a tripartite Abrahamic residential peace community in Stony Point, New York. She is also among the organizers of the Muslim Chaplains Association, a new initiative in Islamic pastoral care. For fifteen years she served as a columnist and contributing editor at Fellowship magazine.
