Recep Senturk hafidhahullah is a Turkish academic and sociologist of religion whose work bridges classical Islamic thought and contemporary social theory. He completed his undergraduate degree in the Islamic Studies department of Marmara University, pursued postgraduate studies in Sociology at Istanbul University, and earned his doctorate from Columbia University in New York. He subsequently served as President of Ibn Haldun University in Turkey, an appointment made by President Erdogan. His scholarly interests encompass the sociology of religion, Islamic ethics, and the intersection of Islamic thought with questions of human rights and civil society. He contributed the foreword to the English translation of classical Mawardi texts on ethics and human wellbeing, and authored a scholarly study on Malcolm X and the global struggle for human rights.
