About
Saadah Taib is a contemporary author of Islamic books for young children. She is best known for "The Prophets of Islam" activity book series, published by Kube Publishing and the Islamic Foundation in Leicester, which retells episodes from the lives of the prophets, peace be upon them, in a gentle, accessible way for early readers. The series includes "Prophet Muhammad and the Crying Camel," "Prophet Adam and Wicked Iblis," "Prophet Nuh and the Great Ark," "Prophet Ibrahim and the Little Bird," "Prophet Ismail and the Zam-Zam Well," "Prophet Sulaiman and the Talking Ants," "Prophet Yusuf and the Wolf," and "Prophet Yunus and the Whale." Designed largely for toddlers and preschoolers, the books move beyond passive listening by pairing a short prophetic story with coloring, crosswords, puzzles, and mazes, so that children encounter the lives of the prophets through play and hands-on activity. The series is illustrated by Shazana Rosli, whose bright artwork gives each title a consistent, child-friendly character. Little is published about Taib's personal life or background, but her work has become a familiar part of the early-years Islamic library, valued by parents and teachers seeking age-appropriate introductions to prophetic stories. Her books are widely stocked by Muslim booksellers and remain popular gifts for the youngest learners.
