Safi al-Rahman al-Mubarakfuri (1362-1427 AH / 1942-2006 CE) rahimahullah was an Indian Muslim scholar whose scholarly contribution centered on the biography of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He authored al-Rahiq al-Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar), a comprehensive sira that won first prize in the Muslim World League's internationally organized sira competition held in Makka, making it one of the most recognized and widely read modern biographical accounts of the Prophet ﷺ. The work has since been translated into dozens of languages and has reached readers across the Muslim world. Al-Mubarakfuri's approach combined classical hadith sources with a clear, accessible narrative style suited to contemporary readers.
