Salih Gulen

Salih Gulen is a historian whose research focuses on the Ottoman Empire and pre-modern photography in the Muslim world. His scholarly work bridges the history of one of Islam's greatest imperial dynasties with the emerging visual culture of the pre-modern era. He is the author of The Ottoman Sultans: Mighty Guests of the Throne, a study of the rulers who shaped the Ottoman state across centuries of Islamic history.
