Sama Wareh holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from California State University Fullerton and an undergraduate degree in Filmmaking and Art. Over more than 12 years in the environmental education field, she has led hundreds of hikes, designed hands-on curricula, and taught Art, Social Science, and Physical Science to students, scouts, teachers, and the general public. She has been invited as a keynote speaker, guest lecturer, and workshop presenter at numerous universities, churches, and institutes, with a particular focus on conservation, water issues, and experiencing nature through art. She has sold artwork internationally since 2005 and has practiced henna for over 15 years. She is also the author of How to Draw 60 Native California Plants and is based in Orange County, California, where she works to connect her community with the local landscape.
