Shabana Hussain is a teacher based in Lancashire, England, who writes faith-inspired children's picture books for young Muslim readers. Through representation and storytelling, she works to help children feel empowered and confident in their cultural identity and faith. Outside of writing, she enjoys doodling and plays the daff (drum). She is the author of Speak Up Sami (KP225) and Hamza Attends A Janaza (KP237), both published by Kube Publishing, and through these titles she addresses topics of confidence, belonging, and Islamic practice in a manner accessible to young readers.
