Shaykh Shihab al-Din Ahmad al-Hamawi al-Hanafi (d. 1098 AH / 1687 CE), rahimahullah, was a Hanafi scholar active in the 11th century AH. He is best known for Talqih al-Fikar bi-Sharh Manzumat al-Athar, a commentary on the Manzumat al-Athar, which is itself a versified manual of hadith terminology (mustalah al-hadith). His work represents a contribution to the tradition of hadith science within the Hanafi scholarly milieu of the Ottoman period. The nisba al-Hamawi indicates origins from Hama in Syria.
