Umar ibn Husayn al-Khatib عمر بن حسين الخطيب

Shaykh Umar ibn Husayn al-Khatib, hafidhahullah, is a scholar of the Islamic sciences who has dedicated himself to transmitting and teaching the Prophetic Way (Sunna) across the East and West. He is based at Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Yemen - one of the foremost centers of traditional Islamic learning in the contemporary world and a bastion of the Ba'Alawi scholarly tradition. His teaching career has taken him around the globe, bringing students into direct contact with the living tradition of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He is the author of 'Prophetic Guidance,' a practical and comprehensive work covering the Sunna of the Prophet ﷺ in areas ranging from worship and daily conduct to sleep and work. Endorsed by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani of SeekersHub Global as a work with no parallel in English, it is considered an essential reference for Muslims seeking to embody the Prophetic example in contemporary life.
