Salim al-Hassani: Salim T. S. Al-Hassani hafidhahullah is Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering and an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Manchester. He is Chairman of the Foundation of Science, Technology and Civilisation (FSTC) and the founder of MuslimHeritage.com, an academic portal dedicated to the history of Muslim contributions to science and civilization. He served as Chief Editor of the 1001 Inventions touring exhibition, a major global education initiative that includes a book, an award-winning film, and a teacher's resource pack. He is also associated with the Curriculum Enrichment company CE4TF. His work aims to recover and communicate the heritage of Muslim scientific and intellectual achievement to contemporary audiences worldwide, and he is the editor of 1001 Inventions: The Enduring Legacy of Muslim Civilization.
