al-Asma wa al-Sifat li-l-Baghdadi is Imam Abu Mansur al-Baghdadi's three-volume treatment of the divine Names and Attributes — a major Ashari theological reference from a generation immediately following the school's foundation by Imam Abu al-Hasan al-Ashari. Imam Abu Mansur Abd al-Qahir b. Tahir al-Baghdadi (370-429 AH / 980-1037 CE) was a Khurasani Shafii scholar and Ashari theologian who taught at Nishapur. Beyond al-Asma wa al-Sifat, his celebrated Usul al-Din and al-Farq bayn al-Firaq are among the foundational works of fifth-century AH Sunni-Ashari thought.

الإمام أبو منصور عبد القاهر بن طاهر البغدادي (٣٧٠-٤٢٩ هـ) عالم شافعي خراساني ومتكلم أشعري درّس بنيسابور. له بالإضافة إلى الأسماء والصفات "أصول الدين" و"الفرق بين الفرق" — من أعمال القرن الخامس الهجري التأسيسية للفكر السنّي الأشعري.

Abu Mansur al-Baghdadi: Imam Abu Mansur Abd al-Qahir b. Tahir al-Baghdadi rahimahullah (370-429 AH / 980-1037 CE) was a Khurasani Shafi'i scholar and Ash'ari theologian who taught at Nishapur, the great center of learning in Khurasan. He belonged to the generation immediately following Imam Abu al-Hasan al-Ash'ari, the founder of the school, and his works exemplify the rigorous early development of Ash'ari kalam. His three-volume al-Asma wa al-Sifat establishes the Sunni-Ash'ari position on each of the divine names and attributes in systematic engagement with the positions of the Mu'tazila, the philosophers, the Mujassima, and other dissenting schools. His Usul al-Din is a comprehensive Ash'ari creed text, while al-Farq bayn al-Firaq is a major heresiography of the Islamic sects. Together these works place him among the foundational authorities of fifth-century AH Sunni theology.

Anas b. Muhammad Adnan al-Sharafawi: Anas b. Muhammad Adnan al-Sharafawi is a contemporary Damascene scholar and muhaqqiq (verifier and editor of classical texts) whose work centers on the disciplines of creed, logic, and Sufism. He teaches within the Ash'ari tradition in theology, giving lessons on 'aqida and logic, among them al-Bayjuri's celebrated gloss on the Jawharat al-Tawhid, and he is active in transmitting these foundational sciences to students. He has prepared more than fifty critical editions, the bulk of them for Dar al-Taqwa in Damascus and several flagship titles for Dar al-Minhaj, the Jeddah and Beirut house known for high-quality editions of Shafi'i and Ash'ari texts. For Dar al-Minhaj he edited al-Qushayri's al-Risala al-Qushayriyya, the most widely circulated classical manual of Sufism, and Imam al-Ghazali's al-Iqtisad fi al-I'tiqad, a key statement of Ash'ari theology. His other verified editions include al-Sanusi's Umm al-Barahin (al-'Aqida al-Sughra), al-Bayhaqi's al-I'tiqad wa al-Hidaya ila Sabil al-Rashad, and Ibn 'Abbad's commentary on the Hikam of Ibn 'Ata' Allah.
