al-Istighatha al-Kubra bi-Asma Allah al-Husna is Imam Yusuf al-Nabhani's major istighatha compendium — and one of the most extensive devotional works in his entire corpus. The text is organised by the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah, presenting for each Name a specific istighatha supplication that draws on the meaning of that Name to invoke its corresponding divine intervention. The work draws on the Quranic verses in which Allah is called by each Name, on the canonical hadith that establishes its fadl, and on the lived tradition of the Sunni-Sufi masters who composed istighatha through each Name. Combines devotional power with sustained theological substance.

About The Author

Imam Yusuf b. Ismail al-Nabhani (1265-1350 AH / 1849-1932 CE) was a Palestinian Hanafi judge who served in the courts of Beirut under the late Ottoman empire. Born in Ijzim near Haifa to a family with deep scholarly and Sufi lineage, he received his classical training at al-Azhar in Cairo under masters including Shaykh Ibrahim al-Saqqa and Shaykh Yusuf al-Barqawi. He devoted his enormous literary energy to defending and propagating the traditional Sunni-Sufi heritage in an age of rising reformist challenge — composing more than eighty works in salawat, istighatha, manaqib, theological defense, and Prophetic praise.

"الاستغاثة الكبرى بأسماء الله الحسنى" مَجْمَع الإمام النبهاني الأكبر في الاستغاثة — ومن أَوْسَع مؤلَّفاته الدعوية في كلّ تراثه. النصُّ مُرَتَّبٌ على الأسماء الحسنى التسعة والتسعين، يُقَدِّم لكلِّ اسمٍ صيغةَ استغاثةٍ مَخصُوصة تَسْتَمِدّ من معنى الاسم لاستدعاء التَّدخُّل الإلهي المُلائم. يَسْتَمِدّ الكتابُ من الآيات التي يُسَمَّى الله بها بِكلِّ اسم، ومن الصحيح من الأحاديث في فَضْل كلِّ اسم، ومن تَقْليد أئمّة السنّة والصوفية الذين صنَّفوا الاستغاثة بكلِّ اسم. يَجْمَع بين القوّة الدعوية والمضمون الكلامي.

عن المؤلف

الإمام يوسف بن إسماعيل النبهاني (١٢٦٥-١٣٥٠ هـ) قاضٍ حنفيٌّ فلسطيني خَدَم في محاكم بيروت في العهد العثماني المتأخّر. وُلد بإجزِم قرب حيفا في أسرةٍ ذات سلسلة علميّة وصوفية، وتَلَقَّى علمَه الكلاسيكي بالأزهر على شيوخٍ منهم الشيخ إبراهيم السقّا والشيخ يوسف البرقاوي. كرَّس طاقته الأدبية الهائلة للدفاع عن تراث السنّة والتصوّف ولِنَشْره في عصر التحدّيات الإصلاحية، فألَّف ما يَزيد على ثمانين كتاباً في الصلوات والاستغاثة والمناقب والدفاع العقدي ومديح النبي ﷺ.
