Brotherhood for Muslim Teenagers
Description
About The Book
In such an unsheltered world, it may sound naive to suggest that this might be the moment to invoke and awaken brotherhood. Yet this is exactly the claim that this book seeks to explore. There is no shortage of books on Islam. Their focus is on the beliefs and rituals of the faith. However, certain classical themes such as brotherhood are often neglected.
One of Islam’s greatest blessings is its admirable success in creating robust and durable bonds of brotherhood between Muslims. You cannot find this kind of relationship in other religious traditions to the extent that Islam has achieved. It is a reality based on faith in God. “The believers indeed are brothers.” (49:10)
The Prophet ﷺ formed an alliance of brotherhood between the immigrants from Makkah and the Helpers of Madinah. The result was that a noble selfless desire to accommodate the other, in any case, was formed between them. The Prophet ﷺ said: “God said: ‘Those who love each other for My sake shall be upon platforms of light, and they will be admired by the prophets and the martyrs.”
Keeping this in mind, I have taught this concept to numerous students. This book is based on some of my classes on this theme. The lessons of brotherhood imparted here, if actioned, are sure to present endless blessings in both worlds, and awaken all that is noble in the human heart.

About the author
Muzamil Khan: Muzamil Khan (b. 1956 CE) is a Kashmiri-born teacher, author, counselor, and spiritual mentor who settled in a small town in northern England. He was born on March 16, 1956, in Onah, a village near Dadyal in the Mirpur district of Azad Kashmir. Holding a doctorate, he has given himself over the decades to teaching Islamic jurisprudence, counseling those in difficulty, and guiding seekers along the spiritual path, balancing clarity with compassion and often using humor to open hearts. A defining thread through his work is his devotion to his spiritual master, known as Hadrat Sahib, a Naqshbandi guide from Gulhar Sharif, and the Sufi tradition rooted in Kashmir. Several of his books gather and translate that teacher's letters and remembrances, while his original writings reflect on dreams, visions, and the fruits of keeping company with the pious. His original compositions include Endless Grace: Dreams and Visions of the Prophet Through the Ages, The Ark and the Stars, and To Educate and Empower, alongside the memoir Life Amongst the Roses and Hadrat Sahib and His Companions. His translations and compilations include Guidance of a Sufi Master From Kashmir, Continual Blessings, All Else Is Futile, a rendering of al-Ghazali's Ayyuhaʾl-Walad, and collections of Hadrat Sahib's letters. He writes for a general Muslim readership, including youth, in an informal, accessible style.
