About The Series
"Today's classrooms are filled with kids from all different parts of the world. The purpose of my stories is to grasp the diversity we see, and educate kids a little bit about the different cultures their friends and classmates may come from. It is done in the hope of not only educating and informing young minds, both geographically and culturally, but also opening hearts to acceptance of what may be perceived as ‘different.’
By starting at a young age, we decrease the borders of the future and bring us closer to being one world, one people." Each story will touch a few basic points. A few examples would be, where the place being visited is geographically located, how to say “hello” or “goodbye” in the local language, what some common foods or dress are of the area, a well-known tourist spot in that country or region, and/or common traditions or holidays of the culture.
