Hashiyat al-Bajuri ala Sharh al-Aqaid al-Nasafiyya is Shaykh Ibrahim al-Bajuri's gloss on al-Taftazani's celebrated commentary on the Aqaid of Imam al-Nasafi — the layered creedal tradition that connects the Hanafi-Maturidi school of Samarqand (al-Nasafi) with the central Asian-Persian rationalist tradition (al-Taftazani) and brings the result into the high Azhari Ashari teaching (al-Bajuri). The matn (the Aqaid of al-Nasafi) is one of the foundational creedal texts of Hanafi-Maturidi scholasticism; al-Taftazani's Sharh is its principal commentary; al-Bajuri's hashiya brings the discussion into Ashari kalam without losing the original tradition. The result is one of the most comprehensive treatments of late Sunni kalam from the Azhari tradition.

About The Author

Shaykh Ibrahim al-Bajuri (1198-1276 AH / 1784-1860 CE) was the Grand Shaykh of al-Azhar from 1263 AH until his death and the foremost late-Shafii authority of his age. His celebrated commentaries on Jawharat al-Tawhid, on the Burda, on Umm al-Barahin, on the Shamail al-Tirmidhi, and on Sharh Ibn Qasim al-Ghazzi together constitute one of the most important late-Azhari corpora.

"حاشية الباجوري على شرح العقائد النسفية" تعليقاتُ شيخ الأزهر إبراهيم الباجوري على شرح التفتازاني لعقائد الإمام النسفي — ذلك التَّراثُ العقدي المتطبَّق الذي يَصِل المدرسةَ الحنفية الماتريدية بسمرقند (النسفي) بالتراث الفلسفي المركز الفارسي (التفتازاني) ويُدْخِله في التعليم الأشعري الأزهري الرفيع (الباجوري). متنُ النسفي من المتون التأسيسية للكلام الحنفي الماتريدي، وشرحُ التفتازاني عليه شرحُه الرئيس، وحاشيةُ الباجوري تُدْخِل المناقشة إلى الكلام الأشعري دون أن تُفَوِّت أصلَ التراث.

عن المؤلف

الشيخ إبراهيم الباجوري (١١٩٨-١٢٧٦ هـ) شيخ الأزهر من سنة ١٢٦٣ هـ حتى وفاته، وإمام الشافعية في عصره. حواشيه على جوهرة التوحيد والبردة وأمّ البراهين وشمائل الترمذي وشرح ابن قاسم الغزّي تُشَكِّل معاً من أهمّ مَجاميع تَراث الأزهر المتأخّر.
