About the author
Furhan Zubairi: Shaykh Furhan Zubairi hafidhahullah began his pursuit of Islamic knowledge at the Institute of Knowledge (IOK) in 1998, where he memorized the Qur'an and studied the foundational Islamic sciences. He holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine and further pursued Arabic language studies in Egypt before earning an 'Alamiyyah degree - a Masters equivalent in Arabic and Islamic Studies - in Pakistan. He also holds multiple ijazat in hadith, a certification in Islamic finance, and completed his PhD at the Islamic University of Malaysia in 2024. Shaykh Furhan currently serves as Dean of IOK Seminary, as a Seminary Instructor, and as University Chaplain at UC Irvine. He is the author of several works on tafsir, hadith, and foundational Islamic disciplines, including the In the Company of the Qur'an series covering Surah Ya Sin, Surah al-Kahf, and Surah al-Anbiya'.
