Marwan Ibrahim al-Kaysi: Dr. Marwan Ibrahim al-Kaysi was born in 1950 in Irbid, Jordan. His academic formation took him across three continents: he studied at the Sharia College in Amman before undertaking further studies at al-Qarawiyyin University in Fes, Morocco - one of the oldest universities in the world and a historic center of Islamic learning - and subsequently at Manchester University in the United Kingdom. Returning to Jordan, he entered government service in 1978 as Director of Education in the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Amman. In 1980 he was appointed Lecturer of Islamic Culture at the University of Yarmouk in Irbid. His scholarly output includes 'Morals and Manners in Islam: A Guide to Islamic Adab,' a work on the Islamic ethics of conduct and comportment.
