About The Author

Shaykh Abd al-Majid al-Sharnubi al-Azhari (d. 1348 AH / 1929 CE) was an Egyptian Shafii scholar of al-Azhar and a Shadhili Sufi. Beyond this commentary on the Hikam, his Sharh Dalail al-Khayrat is his other widely-circulated work.

"شرح الحكم العطائية" للشيخ عبد المجيد الشرنوبي شرحٌ مختصر على حكم ابن عطاء الله السكندري — الـ٢٦٤ حكمة التي هي متن الطريقة الشاذلية. وحيث تَمْتَدّ الشروح الكلاسيكية الكبرى (ابن عبّاد الرندي، وابن عجيبة) إلى مجلَّدات، يبقى شرح الشرنوبي في مجلَّدٍ ميسَّر واحد، يَفُكّ القارئ كلَّ حكمةٍ بحرارةِ شيخٍ أزهري قَضى حياته في صحبتها.

عن المؤلف

الشيخ عبد المجيد الشرنوبي الأزهري (ت ١٣٤٨ هـ) فقيه شافعي أزهري وصوفي شاذلي مصري. له بالإضافة إلى شرح الحكم شرحُ "دلائل الخيرات".
