Aslam al-Naḥwi's third-century AH lexical treatise on Arabic words distinguished only by their short vowels (e.g., the same consonantal skeleton yielding three or more distinct meanings with fatha, kasra, or damma over a critical letter). The treatise is a foundational reference in the science of triple-meaning homographs, of considerable interest to advanced students of Arabic lexicology, qiraat, and tafsir.
