al-Kawkab al-Wahhaj sharh Sahih al-Imam Muslim ("The Brilliant Star: A Commentary on Sahih Muslim") is the major 26-volume contemporary commentary on Imam Muslim's al-Sahih by the Ethiopian-Yemeni Shafii-Ashari scholar Shaykh Muhammad al-Amin b. Abd Allah al-Urumi al-Alawi al-Harari (d. 1442 AH / 2020 CE). Composed over decades while the author taught in Mecca, the work brings the full classical commentary tradition into dialogue with each hadith: al-Nawawi's renowned al-Minhaj, al-Qadi Iyad's Ikmal al-Mulim, al-Ubbi's commentary, al-Sanusi's glosses, and the wider Maghribi-Mashriqi tradition are systematically engaged.

For each hadith the Shaykh presents the chain (sanad), explains its narrators, expounds the matn linguistically and legally, and then offers fiqh derivations across the schools — with particular attention to the Shafii madhhab — as well as theological clarifications consistent with the Ashari-Maturidi mainstream. Spiritual and ethical implications are drawn out where the text invites them.

This Dar al-Minhaj edition is the standard scholarly print of the complete commentary, set in 26 hardback volumes on quality white paper and faithfully edited from the author's authorized manuscripts.

الكوكب الوهاج شرح صحيح الإمام مسلم هو الشرح المعاصر الكبير في ستة وعشرين مجلدًا لصحيح الإمام مسلم بن الحجاج النيسابوري، بقلم العلامة الشيخ محمد الأمين بن عبد الله الأرمي العلوي الهرري الشافعي (ت 1442 هـ / 2020 م)، شارح الحرمين الشريفين، وُلِد بهرر في الحبشة ودرَّس بمكة المكرمة عقودًا. يجمع الكوكب الوهاج بين أمَّهات شروح الصحيح: شرح النووي «المنهاج»، إكمال المعلم للقاضي عياض، شرح الأبي، حواشي السنوسي، وغيرها من تراث المغرب والمشرق، ويبسط لكل حديث: تخريج إسناده، وترجمة رواته، وشرح ألفاظه لغة وفقهًا، وفوائده ومسائله، خصوصًا على المذهب الشافعي، مع إيضاحات عقدية على منهج أهل السنة والجماعة (الأشاعرة والماتريدية)، وإشارات سلوكية حيث يقتضيها السياق.
