About The Book
Yusuf is like any other 10-year-old boy living an ordinary life with his parents. He likes nothing more than spending time with his best friend Jack. Eight years after Yusuf’s one and only trip to see his grandfather, the Ayouch family excitedly prepares to welcome Grandpa to England, at last! But even Jack has to agree that the gift that Grandpa brings Yusuf from Morocco is disappointingly ordinary. Or is it?
Little do the boys know that together they are about to discover a world so much bigger than either of them ever imagined and learn how, with a curious mind, things are not always what they seem. But will it finally teach them to appreciate the most valuable gift of them all?

About the illustrator
Anisa Mohammed: Anisa Mohammed is a freelance digital illustrator who launched her career in 2018 under the artist name Corvae, creating fan art inspired by animated characters and anime series, which she shared across her social media platforms. While she enjoyed client and brand work, she felt a deeper calling to apply her illustration skills to projects connected to her faith. That opportunity came through The Simple Seerah project, for which she provided illustrations - an experience she describes as eye-opening and one that deepened her commitment to Islamic creative work. She subsequently reached out to Kube Publishing, and The Magical Moroccan Rug by Naveed Mir became her first of what she intends to be many Islamic book projects.
