Mehded Maryam Sinclair: Mehded Maryam Sinclair is an American writer, teacher, performing artist, and storyteller with more than twenty-five years of professional experience as a touring and teaching artist. She began her career with Vermont Council and has since built an international practice centered on Islamic narrative and children's literature. She lived in Turkey for ten years, teaching language and storytelling, and is now based in Istanbul, where she studies, researches, and teaches the lives of the prophets mentioned in the Qur'an to families around the world. She has also resided in Amman, Jordan. Sinclair is the author of three award-winning books - Miraculous Happenings in the Year of the Elephant, A Trust of Treasures, and When Wings Expand - as well as The Bowing of the Stars: Patience, Trust and Forgiveness from Surah Yusuf, all published through MeccaBooks.
