Jamiyyat al-Maknaz al-Islami جمعية المكنز الإسلامي

Jamiyyat al-Maknaz al-Islami (the Islamic Thesaurus Association) is a contemporary Islamic scholarly body dedicated to the compilation and authentication of the Sunni hadith heritage. The association is best known for producing the Mawsuat al-Hadith al-Sharif, a major 19-volume thesaurus representing a contemporary scholarly synthesis of the Sunni hadith corpus. In addition to this original compilation, the association has edited and published critical editions of foundational hadith collections, including the Musnad al-Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal (14 volumes) and the Sunan Ibn Majah (2 volumes). Its work sits within the tradition of systematic hadith scholarship and serves as a reference resource for students and scholars of the prophetic traditions.
