Nasir Abdussalam hafidhahullah is an American Muslim scholar, imam, and translator. Born in Chesterfield, Missouri, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, he embraced Islam in 2003 while enrolled at Georgia State University, where he was majoring in English with a concentration in rhetoric and composition. Drawn to traditional scholarship, he subsequently spent more than a decade in Jordan pursuing intensive Islamic education. He earned a bachelor's degree in Islamic law and legal theory from the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, while simultaneously engaging in traditional studies of theology (aqida), hadith, Qur'anic exegesis (tafsir), and Shafi'i jurisprudence. Upon returning to the United States, he took up the role of imam at the Islamic Association of West Virginia and founded Saladin Islamic Seminary. He has also taught privately and for Islamic American University. His translation output focuses on foundational theological and hadith sciences texts: he has translated Imam al-Ghazali's The Forty Principles of the Religion and The Foundations of Belief, The Creed of Imam Bayhaqi, Qatf al-Azhar (a collection of mass-transmitted reports), and Ibn Kathir's Ikhtisar 'Ulum al-Hadith, all published by Turath Publishing.
