al-Silsila al-Aqdiyya al-Sanusiyya is the complete five-volume edition of al-Sanusi's graduated creedal curriculum — al-Muqaddimat, al-Sughra al-Sughra, al-Sughra (Umm al-Barahin), al-Wusta, and al-Kubra — together with the author's own auto-commentaries on each. The series is among the most remarkable achievements in the systematic teaching of Ashari kalam: each text is sized to a specific level of student capacity, from the introductory Muqaddimat that establish the rational preliminaries, through the universal Umm al-Barahin that has been the field's standard primer for five centuries, to the comprehensive Kubra that completes the system. For more than five centuries this series has been the standard aqida curriculum across the Maliki-Ashari world.

About The Author

Imam Abu Abd Allah Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Sanusi (832-895 AH / 1427-1490 CE) was a Tlemceni Maliki scholar whose creedal works became the standard aqida curriculum of the Maliki-Ashari world from Morocco to West Africa.

الإمام أبو عبد الله محمد بن يوسف السنوسي (٨٣٢-٨٩٥ هـ) عالم مالكي تلمساني، صارت كتبُه العَقَدية منهجَ العقيدة المعتمد في عالم المالكية الأشعرية من المغرب إلى غرب أفريقيا.
