About The Author

Sayyid Abbas b. Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani (1320-1391 AH / 1902-1971 CE) was a senior Hijazi sayyid of the Maliki school and the father of Sayyid Muhammad b. Alawi al-Maliki — the great Meccan scholar and teacher of multiple subsequent generations of Western Muslim students. The father and son together represent one of the most important Maliki-Sufi scholarly houses of twentieth-century Mecca.

عن المؤلف

السيد عباس بن علوي المالكي الحسني (١٣٢٠-١٣٩١ هـ) من كبار السادة المالكية الحجازيين، ووالدُ السيد محمد بن علوي المالكي — العالمِ المكي العظيم وشيخِ أجيالٍ متعدّدة لاحقة من طلبة المسلمين الغَرْبيين. يُمَثِّل الوالد والابن معاً من أهمّ البيوت العلمية المالكية الصوفية في مكّة في القرن العشرين.
