Rajm al-Shayatin is Abu al-Rahman Ghulam Dastgir al-Qasuri's refutation of the fallacious arguments that, in the contemporary South Asian reformist and modernist literature, had been raised against traditional Sunni belief. Working in the polemical-theological mode that characterised much twentieth-century Barelvi and Sunni Hanafi writing, al-Qasuri addresses arguments against tawassul, against the visiting of graves, against the Mawlid, against the Sunni position on the Companions, and against the broader practices of the Sunni-Sufi tradition — and refutes each through textual appeal and logical argumentation.

About The Author

Abu al-Rahman Ghulam Dastgir al-Qasuri was a South Asian Sunni scholar working in the twentieth century. He authored polemical theological works defending traditional Sunni belief against reformist and modernist objections.
