The Dr. Abdullah Alkadi Collection (3 Books)

MAKKAH TO MADINAH:

This Arabic and English book goes through the Prophet's (blessings and peace be upon him) Hijrah route in detail identifying landmarks and locations of where verses of the Qur'an were revealed. Using metallic inks and hand drawn maps it is tried to make this book look very special.

The Book is the Culmination of several years of research driven by the simple desire to determine as precisely as possible the exact route of the Hijrah. In the course of this study, author has conducted dozens of field expeditions, collecting data, recording GPS coordinates, identifying landmarks, calculating distances, and covering as much as possible the entire route by foot.

He has also examined every available resource from Hadith and Seerah literature and narrations, to historical documents, maps from the eighteenth century through the present, as well as conducting extensive interviews with local residents to glean information handed down through generations.

MILESTONES OF ARABIA:

This groundbreaking work covers the discovery of 55 previously unknown milestones dating from the 8th to mid-9th centuries CE between Arabian cities along the Caravan Trade Route. Prominent academic, Prof. Abdullah Alkadi, has spent more than 15 years both in and out of the field researching, analyzing, and reflecting on the significance of these largely undisturbed monoliths that have guided the traveler for millennia.

By incorporating historical accounts, including ancient textual narratives, along with various historical maps Prof. Alkadi has been able to finally discern the actual distance of the historic Arabian mile or mīl, a total of 1,609 meters. This discovery is unprecedented and will add yet another piece to the rich mosaic that is the heritage of Arabia.

WAY OF THE PROPHETS:

This remarkable book takes you on a photographic journey along the path taken by all the prophets and cultures, from southern Arabia to the grand Silk Road. Expanding on previous work in mapping the journey, it delves into groundbreaking discoveries by Professor Alkadi, including the Milestones of Arabia and the Hijrah route of the Prophet. These discoveries are currently showcased in an immersive exhibition at the Ithra Museum in Saudi Arabia.
